The Solihull Family Information Service is a great source of information about clubs and activities taking place all over the borough. Solihull Family Hubs

Family Hubs are local centres where children, young people, parents, and carers in Solihull can access support and take part in fun activities!

The Family Hubs team work with partner organisations such as the NHS to help Solihull residents to get in touch with local services.

Examples of support services include:

• Health visiting and midwifery
• Parental guidance and wellbeing
• Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Examples of activity sessions include:

• Stay & plays and games
• Craft, music, and seasonal events
• Education, sports, and youth groups

We allow community groups to hold activity sessions at the Hubs for free so they can invest in their services and provide high-quality events for Solihull residents.

There are four main Hubs in Solihull, three of which are operated by Solihull Council:

• Elmwood in Smith’s Wood
• Evergreen in Kingshurst (operated by The Colebridge Trust).
• Hatchford Brook in Elmdon
• Riverside in Chelmsley Wood

There is also an Outreach Hub available at Shirley Heath Junior School.

Fundraising

Macmillan Coffee Morning

On 26th September 2025 we held a whole school Macmillan Coffee Morning. Families were invited to join their children in school to enjoy a huge variety of donated refreshments. We had a fantastic turn out and loved the buzz that it created in school. Thanks to the support of our wonderful families we managed to raise over £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

NSPCC Number Day

Friday 7th February 2025 was NSPCC Number day. EYFS and KS1 children were excited to come dressed up in Maths themed patterns or numbers and our KS2 children came as Rockstars for the TTRS competition. We raised a total of£152.45 which will help the NSPCC with their vital services like Speak Out, Stay Safe and Childline.

Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children UK 2024

Children were delighted to take part in this festive fundraiser again this year. The school raised £132.29, helping to create lasting change for children in the UK and around the world.

Children in Need 2024

Fort this year’s for Children in Need, pupils got to wear their own spotty/bright coloured clothing and raised a total amount of £335.20. This all goes towards helping to make a difference in the lives of children and young people across the UK.

St James the Great Church

In July 2024, the children took part in a Sponsored Fun Run to raise money for St James the Great Church and their project to create a kitchen and toilet facilities that will benefit the local community. All children from Nursery to Year 6 took part in fancy dress to run laps of the school field with our youngest doing 2 laps and some of oldest pupils doing over 20 (approximately 4k). Great fun was had by all and for a great local cause. In total we raised over £3000.

World Autism Acceptance Week

March 2023- The PTA supported the school in running events in line with World Autism Acceptance Week. We raised a total of £243.92 which has been split between the school to purchase resources to support pupils with Autism, and the National Autistic Society. Thank you to all of the parents, pupils and staff who supported with this.
