On Tuesday, Year 3 were delighted to welcome Kayode Lewis from the University of Birmingham into our class! Mr Lewis, a senior lecturer in physics, spoke to the children about light, reflection and lasers. The children had the opportunity to enjoy using a periscope and observed how lasers travel through the air and water. They discussed how the eye works and what the function of the lens is. The children also studied rainbows: how they are formed and why they are impossible to truly find the end of! It was a brilliant experience for all of Year 3; they listened superbly and asked some fabulous questions. We look forward to our Thinktank visit for some more science learning on Friday!
