Last week Reception explored the snow and ice outdoors, using their senses to investigate the changes in temperature. They talked about what they noticed and shared their ideas with peers. They also experimented by moving the snow and breaking the ice. This supported the children’s understanding of the natural world and encouraged rich vocabulary and talk.
