This year, for World Book Day, children came to school in their pyjamas and spent a large part of the day exploring and learning a poem to perform to the rest of school. Year 1 learnt the poem, Cats Sleep Anywhere by Eleanor Farjeon and performed brilliantly! They also enjoyed sharing their favourite stories with Year 5, doing a book swap and even having a mystery reader (in the form of Mrs Bertie) come and read to them at the end of the day. The previous week, children got the opportunity to visit the very popular book bus and explore the fantastic range of books on offer. Many children were lucky enough to buy one or two books to take home too!
