Year 5 took on the challenge of Bikeability in September. First, they had a practise ride on the playground, stopping and starting and beginning to signal with one hand. For the rest of the week, they were out on the local roads, learning how to safely manoeuvre around cars and learning how to signal at junctions. On the final session, they completed an assessment followed by a self reflection on their ability. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, including the instructor’s jokes!
