To begin our History unit: ‘Were the Vikings raiders, traders or something else?’ we learnt the definitions of raiders, traders, invaders and settlers before discussing the reasons Vikings came to Britain. We created timelines to help us understand what happened while the Vikings were in Britain. We used a scale where 1cm = 5 years and carefully worked out where each timeline card should go using maths skills.
