The children had a wonderful day of learning about everything Roman! I’ve attached some highlights from our trip. The children learnt some more Latin phrases and looked at Roman games that were played. They also explored what life was like in the Roman army and learnt all about Roman soldier’s weapons and armour. Finally, after lunch the children learnt how Roman’s fought, their battle strategies and techniques. All in all, they had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the day. The fort is not open to the public during school time but during the holidays it is open to the pubic… just in case your child is keen to go back.
