Our experience day was based on the book The Nowhere Emporium. We each had a role as a villager and moved around the room, meeting other villagers and telling them what we had seen or what we knew about the shop. We discussed character’s movements, voice and type of responses depending on their age and job. Some of the characters were then interviewed by a local police officer (who looked a lot like Miss Court!) and shared what they knew about the emporium with the whole village.
