Year 5 visited St James Church for The Easter Journey workshop.  Members of the church performed the Easter Story and helped us to understand the significance of certain events. We also visited 4 stations as part of the workshop to deepen our knowledge of The Easter Journey. We heard in more detail about the arrest and trial of Jesus. We made our own crosses. We learnt more about The Last Supper and explored what the bread and wine represent. Our hands were washed and we got to taste representations of bread and wine (pita bread and grapes). We then had time to reflect in a guided meditation, listening to the events of the crucifixion where we drew a representation of the story.
