This half term, in Science, we have been exploring electricity and challenging our knowledge by viewing a number of electrical items and investigating how they work. We discussed simple electrical circuits, identifying and naming its parts, including cells, wires, bulbs, switches and buzzers. We expanded our learning by investigating what materials are conductors or insulators of electricity. We set up practical enquires and completed comparative and fair tests. We found that paper clips, scissors, split pins and magnets were all conductors of electricity.
